$30 is wild. I'm buying it just so I can suck up nasty stuff, so my nice vac stays clean.

I've had the 8 gallon version of this for years now. Been perfectly fine for intermittent garage use.

It is heavy, so don't buy it expecting to take it anywhere.

Also fairly sure the OEM maybe vacmaster, but I don't have any proof other than some VM products are very similar and have almost identical part numbering.

I have this one and like it a lot. Fits the middle ground between regular house vacuum and the big honkin 16 gallon Ridgid I got a few years back. Only thing I don't care for is the proprietary connection for hose to vacuum

you have the 6 gal one? debating if I want this one or the 8 gal one. 8 gal one is 11.5 amp vs this one is 8 amps. 8 gal would be even more powerful
Pretty sure the main difference is the larger diameter hose.

more amps on the bigger one https://www.walmart.com/ip/HART-8...eh=sem_LIA
11.5 amps.
horsepower rating is bs, don't look at that. but if the thing uses more amps, it generally has a more powerful motor.

Unless you are doing constant Rehabs/Reno's smaller 5/6gal is better.
I have a 2.5 Gallon at home and a 12Gallon 5HP(8-10amps) that I use at the homes we renovate (2-4year)....It's annoying as heck!
Originally got it because the built in removable motor converts to a blower.

I got this last year, lightweight enough to carry around and clean up dry gutter leaves.

I just got this the other day and it works great. The suction power is really good. So far I've just used it to suck up concrete bits and dust and it worked like a champ. Someone else mentioned that it is heavy but I think it's pretty light. It's easy to move around and it has wheels which makes it even easier to slide around. If you need a shop vac, this is a no brainer at only $30.

Got one a couple of years ago, but it died relatively quickly, the brushes did not last very long and unfortunately in my case were quoted at $40 for replacement ones. (This is diy and not using a service center, so not factoring a labor charge

How is it working for you? Is it worth the $30?
I have had this vacuum for two years now. I do a lot of working as a hobby. This has good suction and works like a charm. I would recommend it specially at this price. The only thing is that you would need an extension cable if you want to sweep the whole house or keep changing the outlet for reach. I just found it more convenient having a 50ft cable.

I have 4 of these. I can say they run really well and can run for days on end.

Yes it is worth it. Just cleaned both cars. Very happy about it.

Doesn't always mean more performance. The larger hose diameter reduces the 'suction' (velocity of air) so a larger motor is used to help make it up.

My 15yr old shop vac is making some weird noises and has a slight burning smell as if the motor is going... will give this little guy a shot for $30 - hopefully I can modify my extra length hose to fit this - maybe some duck tape?
