This motherboard does have a Thunderbolt header for those that are looking for that.

Does SD ever have deals on Intel MOBOs? I never come across them.

I'm running a 9900x on it since January. This motherboard was hard to find last December. Prices were around $200 at best if it was in stock. I actually got it for $175 from Ali Express and it came w/ some generic thermal paste. Board was US version with a Chinese paper manual. I had to return it becuase I bent the socket PINs. Got a full refund upon return and got one from B&H and Amazon at the same time. B&H came first so I returned the Amazon one.

Just be careful inserting the CPU. I hate that AM5 socket design. Too fragile.
I haven't built on AM5 yet, but isn't this similar to the Intel LGA sockets where you just set the process down and let the clamp do the work?

Never had an issue with it personally if it's the same

This was my first time w/ AMD but the socket contacts are like springs. You drop something on them and they get bent. You can try to bend it back with a magnifying glass and a needle but it may break in doing so.

This is an example w/ up close pictures.

Yes, it's a zero force socket, where you lay it down and then let the clamp lock it in place.

I would have enjoyed this one better for a mini-mid tower setup.

I ended up getting the standard ATX size in September with a H9 Flow. Probably better off since DDR5 ram doubled since Then

Yeah Intel and AMD are both using LGA sockets now.
