Probably not. My friend who works at Apple gave me one around 8 yrs ago and it looks exactly the same. It looks nice by the bed. Wonder if Apple updated it.

It was made for the non-Ultra at the time, so the flip up height isn't tall enough for the width of the Ultra. But it will work if you tilt it upward. Note that I originally thought I didn't care about fast charging, which is fine if you charge overnight. However I like the sleep tracking, and fast charge is so much faster (something like 80% in 30 min or less?) that now it's a bit hard to go back.

Unlikely, I have a Nomad charger with similar lay down mount and it won't accommodate the height of the Ultra.

You can fast charge via lighting. That's not the limiting factor. It is more if this old model of watch charger supports it.
