How do you plug this into a car? Do you have an inverter?

Not sure I'd feel comfortable using a surge protector that isn't at least ETL or UL rated. Especially given the questionable reliability of all these brands, for a surge protector I would not buy something unless it was at least UL rated.

This item does not list either UL or ETL certification.

The problem with this thing is that in about a year, it starts to trip by itself frequently and eventually render useless.

This and similar Baseus surge protectors have a sturdy built feel to them but sadly I've had 2 broken in about a year. Wish they had the same quality as Anker

Previous reviews of this brand seems like they have reliability issue. Probably due to lack of quality control and durability testing of their design Like high operating temperatures heat can halve the life of component inside USB charger (lifespan of some component inside is roughly halved for every 10C increase in temperature). The same with using cheaper components like using lower lifespan capacitors inside to cut cost.

The power switch on these things is "soft" and it's very easy to touch... So, put it somewhere where that won't occur. If you loose the power, so will your stuff.

Mine works well. I have the 100W variant. Been 3 months.

I had a previous version of this from Baseus. It had issues stepping up and down current draw split between plugs when things were plugged and plugged, and was super hot all the time (too hot to touch). The seller was supposedly Baseus direct, but was so shady. I was in the middle of a warranty claim and the seller entity was shut down and reopened as a different entity and they stopped responding. The new entity gave me so much runaround I gave up.

Probably has a factory inverter, think is fairly common in recent vehicles. My Tacoma has 2400w 120v available in both the cab and the bed.

I bought this for $23.99 three months ago and have been using it daily ever since. It's also great for traveling because it gives you outlets and USB power on your night stand.

My only complaint is that if my Pixel phone is plugged in before I turn on the Baseus with the power button, the phone doesn't start charging until it's disconnected and plugged back in. It seems like the Power Delivery negotiation fails in that case.
