It's a Whirlpool / Maytag. Nothing but problems from them in consumer reports lately. This is a disposable appliance.

Whirlpool is about as good as it gets at this price point. Samsung/LG are much worse. You have to step up to Bosch/Miele if you want something that's truly built better and will last longer. I have 5 Whirpool appliances in my house (Fridge, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washer, Dryer) and they have been fine... much better than the alternatives at this price point.

We've had that dishwasher for several years now and the only time you can hear it is when it's draining out and that's because of thin PVC drain pipes under the sink.
