Whirlpool is about as good as it gets at this price point. Samsung/LG are much worse. You have to step up to Bosch/Miele if you want something that's truly built better and will last longer. I have 5 Whirpool appliances in my house (Fridge, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washer, Dryer) and they have been fine... much better than the alternatives at this price point.

It's a Whirlpool / Maytag. Nothing but problems from them in consumer reports lately. This is a disposable appliance.

We've had that dishwasher for several years now and the only time you can hear it is when it's draining out and that's because of thin PVC drain pipes under the sink.

Says Unavailable.

Still available for me NY/NJ region. It may depend on your location b/c they likely aren't going to ship this cross country.

Samsung is the worst, LG awful. Maytag/Whirlpool are actually much better.

We have had this dishwasher for about a year now and it has been great. Cleans well and leaves no spots. It's very quiet... so quiet that you have to you feel it to make sure it's running.

For you poor souls living in DFW, the site shows availability at the Flower Mound warehouse.

I can 2nd this opinion. KitchenAid still uses the same leaky diverter motor shaft seal for over 20 years now. you would think someone would have figured out how to fix that permanently.

They are otherwise pretty decent and quiet. I just wish they didn't eventually leave a huge puddle underneath every 5-6 years.

I know enough to avoid Samsung, but I was under the impression that LG was a favorite of appliance repair tax, and Consumer Reports... Or was I thinking of washer dryers... Darn. It's terrible because the brand that makes a good washer makes a bad refrigerator, and the brand that makes a good dishwasher makes a terrible dryer. Buying appliances has never felt like more of a minefield.

We have the 3rd rack version for a year+ now... not super useful, but works well enough.

We do "pro wash" and "pro dry" (or whatever its called).
Using energy monitor it's only costs us about $20/yr to operate doing 1-2 loads a week.
Kirkland tabs or finish tabs

cleans very well, no issues unless we load stupid EEK!

Built in tub, huh? Do they sell dishwashers without tubs?

Just a friendly reminder that dishwashers don't need to be expensive to do a good job. Just remember to do the following:

1. Run hot water through sink before you start the dishwasher to get hot water in the pipes for dishwasher

2. Use soap in prewash section of dishwasher

3. Expensive dish detergent isn't necessary and pods are a waste. Also, pods use plastic that dissolves, creating more microplastics. Just use cheap powder detergent.
