For 3D printer newbies. You need NOTHING else from Bambu labs. You can buy way cheaper filaments from Aliexpress with the comparable quality. I would recommend getting a 10 pack multi-color filaments liket his deal which should cost you ~$6 per 1Kg.

My son had been begging us to get him a 3d printer. Went from $200 A1 mini from his own pocket to dad jumping in on this action 😅. Let the random printing begin

A couple recommended items for new 3D print users.

3D model burr cleanup tool set and hotend cleaner:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS6MLCWK

Jewelers pliers set for cleaning up models and removing supports.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZ58BWJ

Air tight (waterproof) sealed container drybox for filament storage:
https://www.menards.com/main/stor...-12667.htm

Rechargeable Eva-Dry Dessicant for drybox:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Eva-D.../202847325

PETG is more durable than using PLA but also absorbs moisture more quickly. Most filaments recommend drying before printing. Once the filament is dry you can store filament in a drybox and you don't have to dry it again for the next printing.

Does the credit card's benefit of additional year of warranty apply if I pay using PayPal's pay over time?

I ordered. So this comes with AMS 2 with bult-in dryer but uses the power from the printer so you can either dry or print but not both. If I order the external AMS 2 power adapter - wondering if I can then dry and print at same time? I usually run dry for an hour and then start printing+drying on the Kobra 3s I have.

Assuming it works. The snapmaker looks promising but it's got alot to prove.

You can not dry and print from an AMS at the same time on any of their machines. (None of the filaments in any of the 4 AMS 2 slots can be used for printing if the drying function is in use. Same for an AMS HT.)

The power adapter does not fix or apply to this restriction at all. The power adapter is only needed with this printer if you have multiple AMS 2 units and want to use them all for drying at the same time. The first unit will draw power from the printer but any additional AMS 2 units will need their own power source (power adapter) to enable drying. If you have multiple AMS units and no power adapters, then you can only use of them for drying (4 spools) at a time. Which is normally fine for most users since you could be printing from the 2nd or 3rd AMS while drying in the 1st AMS.

Pulled the trigger with an additional AMS 2. No additional components required for an additional AMS 2 on the P2S Combo. Great deal and still below the $1250.

Ugh. I caved too early on the P1S...now I am having regrets. Was expecting the price to be a lot higher.
