For 3D printer newbies. You need NOTHING else from Bambu labs. You can buy way cheaper filaments from Aliexpress with the comparable quality. I would recommend getting a 10 pack multi-color filaments liket his deal which should cost you ~$6 per 1Kg.

My son had been begging us to get him a 3d printer. Went from $200 A1 mini from his own pocket to dad jumping in on this action 😅. Let the random printing begin

A couple recommended items for new 3D print users.

3D model burr cleanup tool set and hotend cleaner:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS6MLCWK

Jewelers pliers set for cleaning up models and removing supports.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZ58BWJ

Air tight (waterproof) sealed container drybox for filament storage:
https://www.menards.com/main/stor...-12667.htm

Rechargeable Eva-Dry Dessicant for drybox:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Eva-D.../202847325

PETG is more durable than using PLA but also absorbs moisture more quickly. Most filaments recommend drying before printing. Once the filament is dry you can store filament in a drybox and you don't have to dry it again for the next printing.

Newb here ... I just bought the P1S combo for $549. I can basically get this for $640 ... might sound like a dumb question, but is the extra $90 worth it? I don't plan on doing heavy printing ... just using this as a new hobby.
Yes , for the difference it is worth it , it has more features than the P1S , as a newcomer might just get it befor the upgrade bug gets you and you want the P2s.

100% you'd have to waste a ton of filament due to purge for it to earn back the $1800 difference. I'm not in a hurry, if a print takes 18hrs vs 6hrs im not bothered about it.

i do want a h2s for the larger printing volume, but coming from a X1C its not really worth the $ to upgrade for the larger print area. If i was buying my first one, id definitely get it though
I went from a P1S to an H2S and it's definitely worth the cost of the upgrade. Just the quick-swapping nozzles alone make it so much nicer to use, in addition to the extra print capacity and much faster print times. I was actually slightly disappointed that the P2S wasn't going to have a larger bed.
The H2C and H2D looked cool in theory, but I rarely print anything exotic, and I don't do multi-material or multi-color printing ever, so I couldn't justify spending the extra cost. Similarly, the laser kit looked really awesome, but I knew from past experience that laser devices all reek pretty badly, even with good extraction and activate filters. Based on that, I would rather buy a dedicated unit like an xTool P2 if I really needed a laser cutter, and not have a 3D printer that would leave my prints with the odor of smoke.

It's up to $1250 in total purchases before Dec 8. It's cumulative but capped at that amount. You have to select the pay later option, usually 4 equal payments
Its not, YOU are preapproved for $1250 but that doesnt mean everyone is. Everyone has a different amount based on their soft pulled credit Paypal does on its members occasionally and for some people you can only purchase one per Pay Later. Which means 1 purchase with Pay Later and one purchase with Pay Later in 4. You dont know what youre talking about as youre only telling us YOUR experience while Im speaking from the data on multiple people.

So what am I doing wrong? Or did I do it right. I am not a PayPal heavy user. I have the 20% saved on PayPal. I'm at the Bambu lab store and added the $799 p2s combo. I put in my address and hit PayPal. My only options are (1) pay in full, (2) pay in 4, (3) pay monthly, or (4) PayPal credit

Help?

pay in 4 is the pay later option... it'll show points pending after the purchase.

By Grabthor's hammer, what a savings. No seriously, I got the combo. I was on the fence but that's a heck of a cashback.

When I go to check out with paypal, I have options pay now, and pay with credit. I added the offer and it says saved. Why isn't it offering me the pay later option?

I don't have a "Pay Later" or "Pay with 4" option at paypal checkout despite adding the promo on paypal, its just Pay Now or Pay with credit. Anyone else run into this?

It's been years since I used PayPal. How do points work? do you redeem for cash? or is it something to use on later purchases?
Yes, can redeem for cash.

Ordered the P2S Combo last night, just found I have the 20% off on PayPal, and the machine has shipped. Now I'm regretting it.
