Is this a very basic TV?

I'm running a 8 year old 65" 120hz Vizio LCD TV from Costco. I mean this would be a big upgrade right?

AnD are there mobile apps to use it as a controller of my phone?

I'm running 43" Samsung Full HD TV from 2013. It's going strong but could use faster refresh rate and clearer screen.

If these get any cheaper I might just build a house out of them.

In 2022 I got a 55" TCL 5 series which has full array local dimming for like $229 iirc. Wish the dang 80"+ tax would die off

Is there a better 75 or 85 deal than this that's not 60hz? Ideally mini led but seems impossible anywhere near this price?

@WifeCallsMeCheap Not very basic, no. It is a decent TV that using direct local dimming, not quite as good as full array local dimming but being that it is $351 cheaper than the next best thing, the 85" TCL QM6K, it may be forgiveable. I would love to compare side by side in person

I did that exact comparison. I was shocked. I bought both and being $300 more for the tcl qm6k pro bith with 5 year waranty. Hisense is a bit brighter. Good colors. Do not pay attention to rratings review. 4k popped well. We watched both tvs for a couple of days. Ultimately went with tcl for $300 more due to the blacks being black. Better cartoons, animations on tcl. I was constantly hoping to like the hisense qd75n but for 5 years of amazement if the tcl 4k pop in all shows is cheap. I know i would have wanted to spend $300 mire next year to have that pop all the time. Do the tcl unless you cannot afford it. Hisence is awesome though.
