More importantly, in my opinion, does the rear camera have to be connected directly to the front camera? As in, can the power cord for the rear camera be connected to a different power source? Thank you very much!!!

The rear camera is powered by the main camera.

Same model number, A13 but that one says it has a 2.5K rear and this is a 1080p rear, the specs are likely misleading/optimistic though laugh out loud

This looks like a cheap copy of the Rove dashcam which is on sale today.

I never had much luck with the cheap dash cameras.

The video quality seems to be good. The only hassle is running the cable from back to front.

IMO- buy 2 with this price.. use it independently on back and front. There is trade off but serve the purpose and save the time on running the cable..

Not a bad idea actually for this price and use the two rear 1080p cameras for the sides left & right to cover all sides LOL

Bought this previously on Amazon. Laste about 2 weeks before the screen going completely blank. It made a high pitch noise for about an hour before dying. It would not turn on thereafter. Contacted the seller and got a refund. So buyer beware.

I too can't stand that the rear camera must be connected to the front manually, but I decided to buy it anyhow, because I am going to use the rear camera as a side camera, with the two connected close together.
