Clear Breakdown

What you get

iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB (retail $1,100)
2 years of premium mobile service (worth $250/year = $500 total)
Total value received: $1,600

What you pay

1. Monthly payments
You pay $35/month + tax for 24 months
This is split as:
$5/month phone payment
$30/month premium service
24 months × $35 = $840 total (before tax)

2. Trade-in
Requires an iPhone 14 Pro trade-in
A used iPhone 14 Pro can be bought for $300–$350
Let's use the higher number for safety: $350

Your total out-of-pocket
$840 (24-month payments)
+ $350 (cost to acquire iPhone 14 Pro for trade-in)
= $1,190 total spent

What you get in return
$1,100 iPhone
$500 premium service
Total value = $1,600

Net benefit
You pay $1,190
You receive $1,600 value
You come out ahead by ~$410

Great deal for those who wanted the unlimited data option. Those who are on shared Gig plan of 1GB for $20, 3GB for $35 and 10GB for $65, it may not be the best deal.

I was told by an Xfinity rep that this promo can be combined with the $10/month for 12 month premium unlimited line promo too.. Anyone give this a shot?

So what I see is the phone is free with trade in and likely the second 12 months of the 24 months you'll need to maintain premium unlimited which is normally $50/month but the first 12 months is only $10/month

I can see an iPhone 17 + premium services on Verizon network for $720 (not including any fees/tax) over 24 months. But then you'll want to exit stage left for another cheaper plan once the credits are up.

A comparable $20/$25 a month service with a free phone would be about $900 over 36 months commit (normally 3 year credit plan)

I did this. It's an insanely good deal. I have Xfinity home internet, so for 12 months I only have to pay $10/month for their premium unlimited mobile and I get $1,100 toward a new phone with trade in. Then the price will increase to $50/month for 12 months. But so what? I'll be saving $20 per month for the first 12 months vs the $30 I'm paying my current cell phone carrier (visible). So I'm effectively paying $30/month for GREAT cell service and I get the $1,100 phone subsidy. There is no difference in cell service between this and a regular Verizon plan- in fact, premium unlimited with Xfinity mobile is BETTER than most Verizon plans.

You are going to pay more for the internet ($30 if you joined with the yearly plan, or $15 for the 5Y plan). There are no free meals.

For Iphone 13 Pro 128 GB fully functional in very good condition, they are giving a one time credit of $165. Additionally after first year you pay full price for the plan which will put you at $60 or $70 a month for the next 12 months.
