I tried and the only credit they are giving for adding a new line to the account (I have been with Xfiinity Internet for 10+ years) is for first year of unlimited service of $40. For the device iphone 17 pro 256 GB they are expecting 24 payments of $45.83 + Taxes.

After device trade in for $1100, agent told me that I have to $30 for 24 months for premium unlimited plan including taxes.
Ignore comment. Rep gave me incorrect info

IMO Best approach for trade in is get a cheap locked iPhone 16e from one of the MVNO's sign up promos.

NOTE: UNLOCK your credit report on Equifax and Experian before they run a credit check. If it's locked, the credit check will fail and you not be approved for any device payment plan. The credit check can only be done any 60 days and no one at Xfinity can override this. Learned this yesterday :/
