If it all works out this is a killer deal.
Selected physical SIM so that I can time my activation to Nov 29. They send via overnight shipping for free. This puts it within the expiry of the Chase cashback expiring on Nov 30, and also puts it close to the end of my current sub with visible expiring on Dec 6. Also this puts my anniversary just after Black Friday next year, so that I can jump on something that shows up next year too.
Selected new number. On Nov 29, I will port out my current sub to tello, activate the physical SIM with the new number and in a few hours or the next day, port my number back from tello to visible into this new account. They do say that the new number will only be held for 6 days, but I think that is only the choice of the specific number that will expire and I'll get a different number. Hope it all goes smoothly.
For the phone for which I wanted the service, Visible informed me that my phone is eligible for eSIM and instructed me to download its app to complete the ordering process. By forcing me to use its app instead of staying on my computer browser to place my order, I wouldn't be eligible for any cashback rewards. The cashback site wouldn't be able to track that I completed the purchase. I stopped at the payment information page. I'm going to try to find a workaround for this!
