I actually bought one of these for phone repairs. I lay the phone or iPad facedown, set it to 80°C, and it makes the adhesive on the screen loosen up, so it's easy to remove.

I've bought a couple different ones, and I don't trust any that don't list the wattage, which is the #1 most important fact a product that warms with electricity could state.

This is the one I like best. 500w and even heating.

Quite a few poor reviews because people cracked their quartz countertop using this on it. Don't know why people give poor reviews for their own ignorance.

that one is on sale 15$My parents have a quartz countertop. Would they be fine to put a beach towel or something down then that?

I'm not going to be responsible for your countertop, but I'd consider a large cutting board instead. I don't think a towel would be enough for stakes that high.

There's more evidence that quartz is susceptible to thermal imbalances, especially at temperatures above 125F. It's just not something I would risk unless I wanted an excuse to replace my countertop.

I'd expect even a layer of cardboard would be enough to prevent cracking...

I put a towel underneath even on my wood table because I don't want the urethane coating to degrade (can occur at 200F).

What temp does it hold? Safe food holding temp is 150 but seems this would be dangerous at that temp.
