I think when you consider the cost of this vs. the cost of the Arc Ultra, this is the smarter purchase.. unless you're putting it in a room that's so big that the Ultra would benefit it more (but that's not most people).

Think about it this way... you're basically paying 2.75x cost for a product that is, maybe 10-20% better?

I own the Arc Ultra and the Arc is still very good. The Arc is larger than the Beam 2 and so it has a more full sound all around. And at only $399, it's an excellent deal!

Community Reviews

The Arc is a larger Sonos soundbar that delivers a fuller, wider sound than the Beam Gen 2, and $399 is repeatedly framed as a strong price for it. The deal also looks even better when stacked with PayPal Pay in 4 cashback offers, which have been getting through for some orders. The main hesitation is the Arc Ultra, which is described as only modestly better in some rooms but far more expensive, though the Ultra is still preferred for those willing to pay up. A few notes also point out that the SL version has no voice assistant.

This the one I got. Have no need for the smart features since I have a buncha Google homes around the house which are pretty useless unless you want to use a timer lol

I see the offer you're talking about but it doesn't show 20% off for me. Is Sonos a participating retailer?

No, it's a PayPal embedded offer, however, for this purchase it doesn't show 20% off for me.
