I think when you consider the cost of this vs. the cost of the Arc Ultra, this is the smarter purchase.. unless you're putting it in a room that's so big that the Ultra would benefit it more (but that's not most people).

Think about it this way... you're basically paying 2.75x cost for a product that is, maybe 10-20% better?

I own the Arc Ultra and the Arc is still very good. The Arc is larger than the Beam 2 and so it has a more full sound all around. And at only $399, it's an excellent deal!

i bought this last BF. It was $539 back then. At $399 even though the new arc came out, is a steal.

Disagree I had both sold the older arc. They're both great but the new one is worlds better. It's not about the money in my case I can afford the upgrade if you can afford the upgrade go with the ultra.

My living room + dining area + half open kitchen is about 15x30 ft all together and 1/3 of it is half enclosed kitchen/foyer, should I get the arc or spend more for the ultra? (I have no idea if this would be considered large and would be benefit from ultra) TIA
