This set has a locking flex head and is an 84 tooth versus 120 tooth in the deal you linked.

So the advantage this one has is that it has locking flex head.. But the disadvantage is the less number of tooth, right?

Correct. Ratchets are usually 60-72 tooth a minimum. The higher number of teeth, the less degrees of rotation needed for the ratchet to "reset". Higher teeth count also may be weaker but I think 120 tooth is a good balance and trade-off.

RE: Higher tooth count being weaker - not really in the case of the GW 120 XP. They actually test at/near the top of the 'failure load' rankings in Project Farm's shootouts (probably the same for torque test channel's).

I'm sure there are some wrenches out there with more teeth, but 120 is about the most I've seen. Some wrenches have as few as 30. I've heard that after 90 it's more or less diminishing returns.

These are really tempting, I wish they were quick release though.

84 tooth is fine. actually Harbor Freight Icon use to be 90 tooth, but they just updated it to 84 tooth sighting the fact that it's more durable, and still have the same backdrag.
The only advantage the 120xp is the smaller head profile. It's actually pretty impressive how small it is. And yes it's smooth as butter, but in real world use it doesn't matter.
I have the locking version of 120xp, it's nice, but personally the 90 tooth Icon handle feels better in the hand and i find the length of the 120xp a bit too long.
