I think I'd bite on these if they didn't have the plastic/rubber handle... rather just keep ratchets all metal.

I paid 64 bucks for this set when they had red handles 10 years ago. I'm not a tech by trade, but work on cars and trucks weekly to monthly. Have done multiple engine jobs and front ends etc. with them. They're my go to ratchets for a decade now. Still going strong. The fine tooth count is amazing.

You can't buy them 10 years ago. These are updated 2nd gen XP120 ratchets. Very good deal.

To elaborate on why these are very desirable. Their heads are much smaller than the first gen XP120. And they are also much smaller than all other competitors. That makes a lot of difference in tight space. It does make them look a bit weird though. Different from normal looking ratchets like Snap On or Harbor Freight's Icon.

If I wasn't waiting for the 40% off all Icon ratchets at Harbor Freight starting the 24th I would give these a try.

I stand corrected, sir. Nice catch. These are indeed gen 2. Looks like an even better deal now!

I'm going to try these, I've been wanting a better 3/8 ratchet and the 1/4" is a fine one to have, too. Does the flex head ever get annoying?

These are decent but I really didn't like the flex head. The locking flex heads are much better
