I can only compare Bose QC 1 gen and AirPods pro 2 as I own both. Fitment is very personal, some ppl like QC but for me AirPods are more comfortable. Bose sounds better for sure, but not by much. My friend who is very musical prefers Bose. Big problem with bose is connectivity. It is usually ok, but when it is not ok it's such a PITA. AirPods have much better case, connect faster, more stable, the microphone for calls is MUCH better. The way AirPods work with multiple devices in night and day, granted all my devices are apple. Noise cancellation is slightly better in Bose, but depends on what environment you're in. For biking for example Bose is really unusable because of the wind noise. All in all, I use airpods almost exclusively in my day to day life because of comfort and connectivity. I guess the current gen is very similar.
If order from Walmart, plus members get free 1 day shipping.
Choose payment method pay later with PayPal (4 interest free payments) and get 20% cash back from PayPal. Make sure you activate the PayPal offer under rewards.
You can also have a rewards credit card for payment through Paypal and get additional cash back from the credit card company and do a link from something like Top Cashback into the Walmart site for more cash back.
AirPods Pro 3 stand out as a strong upgrade for Apple users, with excellent noise cancellation, a snug foam tip fit, fast device switching, and much better call quality than older AirPods. The comments also highlight solid isolation for noisy places, plus useful extras like translation and heart rate sensing. On the deal side, Walmart and Best Buy can stack with PayPal or Amex offers, and Apple has a $50 gift card promo. The main cautions are that fit can be hit or miss, the sound focused crowd may prefer cheaper alternatives, and counterfeit risk matters on marketplace listings. A good pick if you want the Apple ecosystem perks.
buyers who plan to use PayPal at checkout to try for the 20% cash back because commenters describe activating the PayPal offer and then selecting PayPal "Pay Later" during Walmart checkout to make the discount apply.
iPhone users who want the easiest multi-device switching and more reliable call mic performance because commenters say AirPods Pro 3 connect faster, pair more stably, and switch between Apple devices "in night and day," with a "MUCH better" microphone for calls.
people shopping at Walmart who can stack an Amex Platinum offer because one commenter says there may be an additional 25% off up to $25 off on Walmart.com purchases when you have the Amex Platinum offer.
shoppers who want a snugger in-ear fit for active use because commenters say the foam-infused tips on Pro 3 create a snugger fit than Pro 2 and help them wear the earbuds for lots of activities (including sleeping and even shower use).
people who need strong isolation in loud outdoor settings because one user says they can listen to podcasts while mowing or using a leaf blower, and another says the ANC performs strongly in noisy environments.
people who want to buy without doing the PayPal checkout steps because commenters say you may need to select the Pay Later option (and sometimes remove PayPal from the Walmart account) for the deal to work.
people who only care about sound and ANC and don't need Apple-specific features because one commenter says if you're only worried about sound/ANC, to skip these and buy Soundcore Liberty 5 for $90 instead.
runners who are sensitive to fit-related clicking because a commenter reports occasional right-ear clicking feedback when running, which they attribute to seal movement.
buyers who were counting on the Walmart PayPal 20% offer if it's no longer available to them because one commenter says the PayPal 20% cashback for Walmart "is dead."
Yes, the Walmart checkout can stack with PayPal's 20% cashback offer if you activate it in PayPal's rewards tab and choose Pay Later/Pay in 4 during checkout. Some setups require removing PayPal from Walmart first and reselecting it so the Pay Later option appears; the cashback has shown as pending points after purchase.
AirPods Pro 3 are described as having better noise cancellation, a more bass-tuned sound, a redesigned fit with foam-infused tips, and a translation feature. AirPods Pro 2 are still considered strong, so the upgrade is most compelling if you want the newer fit, ANC, and Apple-only features.
The Amex Platinum offer can give 25% back as a statement credit on eligible Walmart.com purchases, up to $25 total, when used online by 12/31/2025. It may stack with the Walmart price, but the credit is capped and depends on the offer being enrolled on your card.
Yes, they still work on Android and on PCs, with the main controls functioning normally. Apple devices unlock more features and smoother device switching, but the earbuds are still usable outside the Apple ecosystem.
Costco is the better value if you want AppleCare, because the bundle was cited at $249 with AppleCare included. Buying the earbuds separately at Walmart or Amazon can be cheaper upfront, but AppleCare adds extra cost.
anyone think the price will go down more or is this probably it
I think the price will go down to $199, if not for BF, for CM based on the fact Apple effectively selling for $199 after you include the $50 GC.
But I went ahead and bought a pair from Target w/ my Red Card. Since Target said it will price match its BF prices on items bought ahead of BF there's no reason for me to wait. Generally on AirPods during the holidays if one store has a sale so do the others.

Im going to get mine at best buy since I have an old airpods that I can trade in for 45 bucks so thats something..but will wait on it and see if the price goes down I still think its a little steep
The headline here is obviously that you wear air pods in the shower. I mean...WHAT???
Is that the headline? They're IP57 rated. That 7 means they can survive immersion in water up to 1M for 30 minutes, but they can't withstand 10 minutes in the shower? 😂

I wasn't suggesting that you can't or that they will break. Just kind of hilarious that you would

i think the other poster is surprised you wear them in the shower, not about the IP rating
i mean what? you can't go for 10 minutes without them in your ear? do you not clean the outer part of your ears when you shower? i imagine they'd get in the way

We can all go without a lot of things, but isn't the point of technology to make your life better?
Since we're already on the topic, it's worth mentioning that the AP3's handle showers like a champ, actually. My last buds were also IP57 rated but the flimsy rubber tips didn't seal your ears like these do, and once water got past them they stopped working until they were dry. The AP3's are built to handle downpours, showers or otherwise.
No problems cleaning my ears. I don't use my ears to walk or pick up and handle dirty things, so they don't need to be scrubbed like my feet and hands. A light once over with my shampoo suds does the job. What a weird digression.
How do these compare with Bose - QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen)
There's a YouTuber who goes by the name 'Picky' (I believe) that did a terrific comprehensive review of both. Highly recommend that you view it as I think it will help answer this for you. I'm short, I recall he concluded that these two earbud headphones are finally neck-and-neck across the board. AirP Pro 3 nearly on par with Bose in noise cancelling, and Bose QC ultra (2 gen) phone quality finally on par with some of the best.
I ended up getting the QC ultra gen2 earbuds, as an upgrade from my QC 2 earbuds (not ultra) mainly because I got tired of people complaining how awful my voice quality was, and so far very happy with them (I have a Pixel).
And am debating getting my wife the AirP pro 3 for her iphone...
We got her the QC 2 a couple years ago because of Bose's superior Noise canceling and her OG AirPod Pros had TERRIBLE battery life... But she likes the pink magenta color of the new QC ultra gen2, so she's still debating lol. But leaning towards the AirPods pro3
Nope, you just accept the 20% cashback offer logging into Paypal, and during the option to pay later in 4 payments you can select a credit card or bank account to do the pay later option. Assuming the Amex thing works you may get to double dip but I'm not sure if Amex is option to payback via Paypal.

First, thanks for the info that BB takes AirPods as trade ins. I had no idea. I checked into that and my old AirPods Pro 1s are worth $30. Sold! Like you said, that's something especially when they are gathering dust.
Second, yeah, everyone has their strategies and I'm certainly taking a gamble betting these will go down after I buy them. But worse case, $20 amortized over the expected 3 year life span is a 1.5 gallons of gas a year. I'd just rather have them in-hand now than scramble online during BF if inventory is short.

Yeah the ONLY reason why Im gonna get it from best buy is due to the trade in otherwise I would get it from target, target price matches even a few weeks later they dont care but with best buy they are gonna give me 45 bucks which is a good deal but still want to see if it drops in price some more..220 is still kind of steep at least for me..I also have the old airpods pro 1, which is funny that they offer LESS for the pros than the regular airpods which offered me 45 go figure lol
I got them for this price through BestBuy and was able to use the PayPal 20% back offer. I can confirm it worked. So the price after credit will be $171.51 for brand new AirPod 3. Yeah you can get open box ones but that's like wearing someone else's used underwear.
