The WX240 is a completely different unit. Smaller battery, two directional LEDs instead of a ring light, and no mechanical clutch. In my experience using it, the three speed/torque settings (I've seen it incorrectly advertised in both ways) provide no change in power or RPM.

The WX242 is newer to the US market but I've had mine for over three years. The battery still holds a good long charge. The mechanical clutch is great. At the lowest setting I can safely install screws in small electronics without fear of stripping or camming out. At the highest setting the power is greater than the WX240 and I can drive screws directly into wall studs.
If you want a stick style powered screwdriver, at $30 this is an amazing deal.

Does anyone have experience with the WX255L model? The one that looks like a drill. I kinda lean towards it and it's on BF deal for $33 now.

I also bought when it was listed in SD about a year ago. Great tool, for it is size it delivers great torque.

Great tool, I paid $30 on AliExpress 2 years ago with some coupons. The one flaw, IMO, is that it won't charge with USB-C to USB-C cables. Only A to C. I guess they couldn't afford 2 $0.01 resistors.

It does lock well, so if the motor stalls, you can still turn it like a regular screw driver.

It's has a bit less RPMs than I'd like, but it's fast for this single cell class of screwdrivers.

Biggest competitor is the Amazon Basics (Prev Denali) screwdriver which seems like the same one but a bit more powerful and cheaper.

Make sure you charge with usb-a cord. I tried usbc to usbc and it wont charge. Googled and thankfully found an older thread mentioning you had to use usba to usbc.
