Beware buying used Apple Watch from Amazon. They don't always turn off the "find my" even though the watch is reset as new. Someone else can track you and the watch tells you this from time to time but it's impossible for us to remove.

That person is wrong. If it's linked to someone else's Find My you won't be able to even pair it with your iPhone, and it needs to be paired with an iPhone to be used. It'll just be stuck at the setup screen."Once you contact them and they manage to remove the watch from their Apple ID account, they won't be able to track it, either. If you mean the gift card balance, I just use it for an annual Apple Music and a couple other subscriptions I feel worthwhile.
