OP first posted it at ouraring.com. Staff made it at Amazon, but kept a link to the original site. Suppose they get more commission from Amazon.

Does not stack with additional discounts (Lululemon, Clear+, Perplexity, etc.) for those trying to sweeten the deal and get it cheaper or fully covered by their Amex Platinum credits (must be purchased on Oura website to receive credits)

Edit: this comment was made before staff took over the post and changed the link from the Oura website to Amazon

I am interested in buying this but it looks like the membership is a must have for all functionality. Is there anyone who has a 4 and does not have the membership is it still worth it?

Not worth it at all without it. The data you get is incredibly basic

i dislike the idea of membership fees on a hardware but also don't want the amex platinum credit goes to waste.
Let say I buy the ring now for $249 + tax, get the $200 credit this year, pay one month of membership fee til the end of the year. And then from next year on, switch to yearly membership and have amex to reimburse using its annual credit
sounds like a plan?

Wondering if this can be a money maker? I can get 4 of these for $50 each with Amex credits, and I'm still skeptical it would be worth the effort to buy and sell at profit.

Hmmm, these are FSA eligible? That's interesting. Looks like they're going for over $200 on eBay. Might have to pull the trigger on them now.

AFAIK the Amex credit doesn't work for Oura membership

How? That credit is only triggered when buying from Oura

AMEX PT credit applies only to the ring hardware and not to any subscription plan.

AMEX's Language specifically states you get the credit for "purchasing an Oura ring," so I highly doubt you're getting small reimbursements for month fee charges.

Also, the Amex offer specifically says "2. Oura Ring purchases must be made at Ouraring.com using any Card on the enrolled Card Account." So use caution buying it from Amazon.com if you're looking for that credit.
