Now the Photoshop Elements & Premier Elements software are on a subscription? Ughhh!

So, do the feature sets & support of each now get to improve more frequently & significantly than with a yearly release of a lifetime software license? I'm betting not!

Do these subscriptions stack? Meaning, if I already have an active subscription ending in six months and I add a license code purchased through Newegg (or any other reseller for that matter) will that extend my subscription duration by another year? Thx!

I know when I got two cards for the old 20gb photography plan I used both and got two years. I've read as long as they are the exact same they will but if are a slight different version they don't but that was 6 months ago so take it with a grain of salt.

Thanks! Last year's BB deal only included 20GB. The Newegg deal before that was also 1TB

Yes subscriptions stack as long as they are the exact same product (e.g. Photoshop+Lightroom 1TB will stack with itself but not the old 20GB plan). In my experience, Newegg will only let you buy one per email/credit card#

You activate the account with one code and then add in the second code. It will extend the expiration date by another year. You don't have to wait a year to add the second code. That is the way it worked last year. Not sure if something changed this year.

Went ahead and tried it. Had an existing 1tb Lightroom plan that was good until July, 2026. Bought this deal for the same plan for $60. Added the code to my existing plan and now I'm good until July, 2027.

If they don't stack, they are valid for many years. I recently activated a 5-year-old code without any issue.

I can't speak for Elements, but for Lightroom/Photoshop it does. Everyone forgets a lifetime license for this software is/was incredibly expensive. Lightroom used to be $150 ($400 for LR3 and earlier). Photoshop was like $600. That's 7-8 years of this subscription model and it is consistently updated. You used to be up shits creek if you had Lightroom 4 and Lightroom 5 was out and you bought a new camera. Your raw files would never be supported by your dated version of Lightroom/Camera Raw. The days of using Photoshop 6 while CS5 was out because you couldn't afford to update your 10 year old, $600 software, are over.
In the case of Elements, you're paying $50 for 3 years vs $100 for a lifetime sub.
