Yes, you can. Just be careful adding your new code into your account on ESET's website. Adding the new license will begin the 1 year license period - it doesn't add additional time to your old license. So you should wait until your current licenses expires, and then add the new license.

Perfect timing as my licenses from last year were about to expire. If you've already connected each device to your ESET home account you'll want to go to ESET on each individual device and then go into settings and look for "activate a license" option. That way devices stay in the ESET home account but still get the new license. Not seeing any method to enter an activation code into ESET home website but maybe I am missing something?

How does this compare to Norton 360?

ESET is the best, easy on resources. So much better than Norton or Defender. $3 per pc per year? SOLD. The keys do not expire as long as you don't redeem them until you need them. DO NOT try to stack on an existing sub, it won't work. Just stash them away until your current subs expire. I'll be keeping mine until next year.

Can you buy two times and then save one of the codes for a year until the first one expires?

Can you buy two codes and then save one of the codes for a year so you have two years or will it expire after a couple of months if not used?

Yes. You can purchase two license codes whenever a sale occurs. Use one code immediately and keep the second one in reserve; since the unused code does not expire until it is activated. Next year, you simply activate your reserve code and purchase a new replacement during the next available sale, repeating the cycle. I use this method successfully.

Be aware of unauthorized online license key generators (always buy your license codes from a reputable reseller or seller). While unauthorized license key exist, the codes they produce often get flagged easily due to overuse and are deactivated frequently and there is an extremely rare theoretical chance they could produce a code identical to one you've legally purchased. I haven't encountered this, but it's a risk worth keeping in mind.

In addition to being an excellent security and protection software, the license offers the flexibility to share. You can easily share the license with another individual by inviting them; they will only need to create an account on ESET's website. After they install the software, they simply log in to their account to activate their portion of the license.

Doesn't "Home Security Essential" come with "NOD32 Antivirus" ? Why would you get the antivirus by itself when it costs more?

Been a long time fan of ESET. No annoying (or very few) upgrade messages, doesn't slow down my system and has excellent protection. Pretty good value at these prices (I like the 2Year options when available).

Yes, ESET Home Security Essential includes the core antivirus engine, which is the NOD32 Antivirus technology.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus is the basic, fundamental protection (antivirus/antispyware).

ESET Home Security Essential is a full security suite built upon the NOD32 core.

Features:
- Safe Banking and Browsing (a secured browser for online payments).
- Anti-Phishing.
- Network Inspector (to test your home router and smart devices for vulnerabilities).
- Webcam Protection.
- Anti-Theft (for laptops and Android devices).
- Firewall (for Windows).

The higher price for ESET NOD32 Antivirus is due to Device Count and Duration.

Simple Comparison
Product------------Devices---------Duration-----------Total Price-------Cost Per Device/Year
Essential--------------3---------------1 Year--------------$12.99-------------$4.33
Essential--------------5---------------1 Year--------------$17.99--------------$3.60 (Best Value!)
NOD32 Antivirus------10--------------1 Year--------------$39.99-------------$4.00
NOD32 Antivirus------ 1---------------2 Years------------$18.99--------------$9.50

For maximum savings, the Home Security Essential (5 Devices) deal is unbeatable at $3.60 per device/year. That said, be mindful of your actual needs.

If you only have three devices, opt for the 3-device Essential plan ($4.33/device/year) instead. This prevents overbuying licenses, as you won't be paying for licenses you won't use.
