Just if anyone is curious, the Cosmos 4K Laser is the older model and is missing an HDMI eARC port that the SE has (if you want to connect a sound system/sound bar. SE has Dolby Vision and Laser doesnt and I believe Laser is on Android TV and SE is Google TV. But the Laser is absolutely brighter, it all depends on what you need and value more.
I got the refurbished SE in the last eBay deal. The SE has lower latency for gaming and HDMI 2.1 ports
I can't find a good answer online.
Do these things look as good as a tv or will it still be that washed out color an contrast look I'm used to with projectors? In side by side "reviews" the recording of the two clearly make the projector look like it's lacking in color details but the reviewers don't say this.

In a right room they look more washed out. In my theatre room with the lights off the colors are great. My OLED TV is more vivid in all scenarios, excluding size
I will add photos of the setup don't do it justice. In person looks better than videos and images I shared
I added a photo, a screenshot from a video as it wouldn't let me upload a small video for some reason.

I ordered a factory refurbished capsule and got the cosmos 4k instead.. was happy about it until i found out that after the initial setup it never really started. Tried resetting plugging in n off.. nothing worked. So returning it now and getting a full refund because cant trust Nebula brand anymore.
Got the 4k version (not SE) and colors are great, but still found the 2200 lumens lacking with a moderate amount of ambient light
Also, refurbished 4k version is ~$600 on eBay currently direct through Anker

The laser 4k is $25 more and has better speakers and 400 more lumens.
It (laser 4k) also is two years older and uses just laser and not laser+led. Not even the same tech. Also requires a dongle and is mossing a lot of features that the SE has.
I just got the laser refurb from ebay and I like it but id probably buy the SE if it were cheaper
