For anyone decide to buy apple gift card and then use to buy "iphone/ipad/macbook...". You are allowed up to $2,000 in apple balance and up to 8 gift card seperately on the transaction ( this is "online" limit , in store I believe 20). Basically 2,800 capped on "apple gift card" per transaction

Are theese amazon gift card credits or promo credits? Asking because Amazon promo credits are much harder to use becuase they can only be used on items sold and shipped by amazon.

NOTE: You can only use it in the Apple Store if you keep it as a gift card and don't apply it to your apple account. If you apply it to your apple account you can use it for apple music subscription and iCloud.
I bought a Mac mini using money in my Apple account last year. I placed the order online and paid in full with my Apple account balance. That part was easy enough. The order got cancelled. Tried again. The order got cancelled again. I remember having a long phone call with Apple about it. I don't remember exactly... this was almost a year ago... but I think the problem was because I was paying the entire amount from my account... rather than putting a portion of it on a credit card. The system kept thinking it was fraud. Finally got it resolved and got my Mac mini ordered and delivered ... but it was a hassle.

FYI – The rules on the $15 credit are pretty strict. Last year, I applied it to an order that I ended up cancelling and never got the credit back. I appealed to support and they said it was one time use and doesn't get refunded. Trying to save others from potential headache. Makes sure you only order what you are for sure going to keep!

I don't think we know yet for sure but in the past, I seem to recall them being promo credits which did not get added to your amazon balance which meant sold/shipped by amazon only.

sorry if this is a dumb question but will buying 4 separate 25$ cards in one transaction count?
In the past it's usually required $100 on one card to qualify.

Also don't try to get close to the max limits, Apple may flag cards/accounts and then you'll have to deal with customer service.

I bought this deal last year and it was Promo Credit. It was kind of a pain to use. I found the best buy and target version of the deals to be more convenient

Can you please clarify? If I want to buy a laptop from the Apple Store, I need to keep it as individual gift cards and not add it to my Apple account?

Do NOT add these to your Apple account if you plan to buy hardware in the store. The purchase will be rejected when you try to make the payment. I know this from personal experience.
Keep the individual gift cards and have the store associate enter them one by one. It will be a pain if you have 20 gift cards but nothing near the nightmare of having $2000 in your Apple account and not being able to spend it.

Can I place this order while outside the US and it would work? I assume yes no issue since you can order from Amazon US while outside the US without any issue?

So apple account balances can't be used for in store purchases?

Worked fine for me 2 weeks ago -- had GCs saved to my Apple Account balance over the past few months which showed up in my Apple Wallet

Used my iP13 to tap and pay at the store to buy an unlocked iP17 -- no problem with regular store transaction (make sure Apple Account shows up in your Apple Wallet and install the Apple Store app to make it easier)

I did try to pay in full online for store pickup but the order wasn't going through (told me to ship it instead) -- did not try putting a small $1-$5 amount on CC to see if that works
