I can imagine the motor lasting a long time but the plastic container can be fragile. Mine broke in the mechanism that locks it - making it unusable - and on one of the clips that help it line up and it got stiff to slide in place after a while maybe due to friction or warping on the plastic.
I just looked it up and thankfully they made the replacement basket cheaper - $65 - as it was almost as much as the entire product last time I checked but still pricy for replacement parts.
