I got a tracking number that was coming to my zip... Delivered but nothing to me, proof of delivery from UPS shows an envelope on a doorstep.
I contacted AE, they flat out denied any wrong doing, citing the 'package was delivered'. I called again, the rep agreed with me, no refund, and said to find a more reputable seller next time.
I then made a claim through PayPal, submitted photos and screenshots, got denied because the seller said it was delivered.
I just called PayPal today to ask for somebody to manually look at the evidence I provided, they agreed and reversed the decision in my favor.
3 weeks down the drain.
These problems could all be avoided if people and manufacturers used the two-number ETRTO designations that are printed on every bicycle tire. For this bike you need replacement tires that are 559/xx. 559 means the tire fits on rims that are 559mm in diameter. The second number "xx" is the approximate width of the inflated tire, so you probably want something between 559/35 and 559/45 if you ever wear out the originals.
ETRTO of 29er and 700c tires is 622/xx. xx will be 21-30 for skinny road tires, and something like 48-67 for big mountain bike tires.
One advantage of this bike is the external battery. It doesn't look as suave as internal batteries, but it means you're more likely to find a generic replacement years down the road. It also lets you bring the battery inside to charge it. This makes it less likely to be stolen while chained outside, and if it's cold outside, the battery will last a lot longer because it'll be warm when you leave.

I got a lot of flats when I first got the bike but I think that was largely due to the tires being under-inflated, leading to pinch-flats, and me riding on bumpy sidewalks (legal in my area and no, I wasn't going anywhere near max speed on the sidewalk). I ride in the road now and, with proper inflation, rarely see a flat.
Only thing odd about this listing, unless I'm missing it, is it doesn't list the voltage anywhere. Guessing it's a 36v but thats normally a highlighted spec for most ebikes.

Got scammed, actually got denied my PP claim despite the evidence, I called PP and asked if they could manually look at what I provided, they agreed with me.
AliExpress told me to 'find a more reputable seller' next time, otherwise they were of 0 help since the package was 'delivered'.

Not "all the way" LOL. Paypal will almost hardly ever give you a refund if the seller can provide some sort of tracking that shows some random thing got delivered. Ran into it 3 times on Ebay and had to go thru my bank. I quit using PayPal because of it and I was with them for over 12 years. AliExpress is 100% known for scams. My bank(SoFi) won't even allow purchases to go thru.
