Supports Coreboot, so you can run Windows or Linux - see https://docs.mrchromebo
I'm running Linux Mint, everything works great and I have no complaints about speed or battery life. Might grab another for my daughter since she's constantly filching mine to play Roblox and Minecraft.
I have bought a few refurb Chromebooks and all were little used. I bought a used Flex 5i and it works great though it was quite used but at $120 it was worth it. It has a 12 gen I3. It is a 13 inch screen and just slightly smaller than my 714 with an I5. The I5 is just slightly faster.

*Edit. The Costco version has the N355 vs. N305 in these. Not sure how much difference there is between the two.
