What makes Phillips Hughes LED strips better than anyone else's LED strips? Honestly, curious why they charge so much.

I'll bite

A few years ago it was probably the ecosystem (Hue sync too), reliability, integrations with other platforms (homekit, smartthings, etc) that justified it. These days its a bit harder sell, but its still a very robust platform that usually "just works" because they use the hub model and not wifi. That being said, as Hue heavy household (20-40 lights/accessories with two hue bridges), I use govee stuff for outside decoration lights as I couldn't really justify that price delta for decorations.
