If you've been actually listening you'd know that maybe now tariffs on things like hard drives are not in affect but there's been multiple times that countries who produce the product have been tarrifed and maybe even double down and tariffed again because orange man wanted to. To say they are not affected is the parroting talking point. I would say you shouldn't do your own research cause you're not good at it

I'm confused cause how did I get a Western digital Ultrastar HC550 18tb 3.5 hdd off serverpartdeals website 2 years ago for $210? I know it's not a NAS drive but it was not used. Even with the PayPal deal it's still $230.

The HC550 is way better than the WD Red Pro.
From RAM to SSD to HDD, they're all getting more expensive in the last few months thanks to LLMs.

I should've bought two drives. It is crazy to me that we're literally around 50% increase. I'm sure tariffs are not helping anything either

It's more expensive but WD's website will give you 2*24 Red Pro for $799 or 2*26 for $899.

Regardless of is or isn't, you forgot to include an asterisk in your post, which is very important, probably the most important. Here you go:*tariff pricing subject to change daily or on a whim, not all countries will be subject to the same tariffs, consult your state representative to enact change, or simply tell your neighbor they don't exist
