any feedback on heating issues? every HP laptop i have seen (friends-family) tend to overheat.. its tempting for the price (even lower open box) but would suck to deal with heating...

Looks like a heats up while charging, but may overheat because of Windows and their Copilot. It may run really well with Linux, though. I'm thinking of installing Pop_OS or another Ubuntu variant as soon as I get any Windows laptop. This one may be the one because I wanted a screen brighter than 300 nits, and this is 400 nits.
A BestBuy reviewer: "I would not recommend this laptop, it comes with Microsoft Copilot+ AI running all the time. When Copilot+ runs it makes the laptop get too hot to use on a lap as the case heats up and the fans run full speed. BestBuy has a 14 day return policy for this item and I had problems at day 16, so that is another reason not to get it. I had to completely remove all the gaming features, and remove Microsoft Copilot+ just to get the laptop to run cool and quieter."

Will it overheating cause motherboard issues. I had dell laptop which stopped working and motherboard died. I want a laptop which can be used atleast 3-4 years.

Same here... done with Windows. However I have an Envy 2 in 1 now that doesn't play nice with some distros. Fedora KDE and Tuxedo seem to work as well as the LATEST Zorin, but many like Mint don't work well with touchscreens, ESPECIALLY 2 in 1s.

In fairness there are many people that prefer IPS for a variety of reasons. OLED is also just a lot more sensible in a smaller mobile device.

Definitely just install LTSC IoT edition and use Massgrave.

Those people are absolute idiots, and that's an understatement.

What is that supposed to tell me? Your image means nothing. I'm not saying I don't like OLED, but in certain cases IPS will have superior color accuracy, can be more efficient, and also is superior as far as longevity goes (although for this laptop I high doubt burn in will be a concern). There are valid reasons to prefer a non-OLED screen.

The omnibook x keyboard is terrible. The omnibook 5 is so much better.
