If you're in the northeast, there's a 30% coupon as well that you can clip. This was $19 total for me

EDIT: Looks like they disabled the coupon

I have an insignia brand version that has a large ring painted on but when boiling water or cooking the active cooking space is only half the ring size.

Does anyone have this and is getting a second unit? Is the active cooking section as larger as the cooking ring?

From one of the reviews:

The area of the pan which is actually heated is much smaller than it appears. The cooktop has a 7.5" circle drawn on it, that's what one would assume is the size of the heating element. However if you take a 12" (9" cooking surface) steel pan and boil water you can clearly see that only about a 4" circle of water actually gets gets boiled. I suspect if I were to tear it apart I would find a 4.5" induction coil. Unfortunately this makes the heat control pretty useless because any reasonably large pan will have a different temperature in the center compared to the edges. Also the temperature control isn't great. You can tell by putting some water in a pan and setting it to 140F (60C), the water shouldn't boil but it easily does.

For what it's worth I ordered this and it's clearly used, scratches on it. Returning even though it's a good price, was expecting a new item.
