Absolutely, this is the best 4050 deal so far I'd say. The display is 300-nits 100% sRGB 165Hz, whereas most gaming deals at this price have 62% gamut or 144Hz refresh rate, and i5.
The only other deal that beats this is the staples ASUS 4060 for $629.

Hmmm. On the fence with this or spend a few hundred more for a Lenovo with a 5060 and OLED. I'm going to use it for working on graphics like Photoshop and Paintshop Pro.

Completely depends on if you want to spend a couple hundred on a solid 1440p or 4k monitor to use for graphic design work. If you plan to use the laptop screen itself, then I would save or spend a little more. More nits and higher end screen would help a lot.

I have never owned this brand, any good? Almost the same specs as the Walmart Asus A16 Tuf except for the !66hz and 144hz.

It's a well respected brand, probably best known for their motherboards and video cards.

Always curious how these compare to Xbox or ps5 in terms of equivalent graphics and fps?

Gigabyte practically never releases BIOS updates. Look out for easily preventable bugs. Dell and HP are better at this especially if you get a precision.

Consoles are very well optimized for games. You are almost guaranteed to get better performance, unless your pc is high end.
