Great little chainsaw, just make sure you put it away dry or you'll be cleaning/replacing the carburetor. The 20" is also on sale for $350.

I've got a 455 Rancher that's 10 years old. My brother in law bought his at the same time. My dad has a 450 Rancher that I remember growing up with. I'm 40 and I remember it in high school. That's moderate use, camping, hunting, etc but we camped a lot. I camped 34 days this year. I build a big fire, I don't like to be cold, and we stay around it til 2ish every morning. I go through a lot of wood. We also get a few cords every fall for winter. So it's not used professionally, but it certainly isn't used sparingly, and none of ours have ever broke til this year. My old man's finally lost a rubber stabilizer that takes some vibration out, which is minor. Especially for being 25 years old. Those ranchers have been danged good saws. Recommended.

Im stihl all the way, but unless you buy the german made ones, this is just as good. Have had a 445 for 20 years and ALWAYS fires right up. I think 45 cc is the ideal size for most anything a person shy of a professional logger would need

I've been using a 290 Farm Boss for at least 12 years, fires right up!
