It's an underpowered 5060 topped out at 80w. So still better than 5050 but not as strong as standard 5060. This is the biggest downside. Expect it to perform similarly to a 4060. If this weren't the case, I would have pulled the trigger myself

For $50 more, this feels a better choice? https://slickdeals.net/f/18846994, lighter, brighter screen, longer battery life?

Having set one of these types up you just have to be careful of thermal management and Dell software. It can cause lag to the point where it doesn't match the powerhouse specs. Sometime has to do with the NVME that is installed. If you upgrade it, it may help.

exactly! returned mine because of this. they are gatekeeping the full power of the 5060 for the 16x line.

Don't buy Gigabyte, do buy MSI instead. Thank me later.

It is standard 5060. When you say underpowered 5060, do you mean that there are variations in 5060? Just wanted to check if missing something.

The max power of the GPU is 85w instead of 115w. It has significantly less power than a fully powered 5060

I remember not too many years ago, Alienware was still a premium laptop but now I feel like only Razer blade still hold on well on its price.
