Nope, never received a confirmation, only the initial thank you generic email. I dont plan on it either. Like I said, rebates are typically a fools game. Either way, I will be using the oil anyway, and the price is the same now as it always is, so nothing is lost.

Bought two 5qrt Edge, submitted and no confirmation or $30 back. Its been almost 4 weeks now 🤷

After I submitted, I received following email immediately
"Dear xxxxxx, Auto notification - Do not reply.

Thank you for your recent Castrol EDGE Euro Car purchase. Your request for the Castrol® Offer has been received and is being processed.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery."
I expect this is the only email you will receive, the next one will be either rebate being deposited or rejection. Timeframe is 4-6 weeks, which has not yet passed, so I think some patience is required here.

that's a problem, check your spam email first, but likely your submission failed. Try again or try to dig up contact info for these guys and contact them directly.

Some people finally start receiving rebate status update.
Rebates approvals shows 30 cents instead of $30. Waiting time magically turned into 6-8 week from originally announced 4-6 weeks. Here we go again folks…

Rebate terms :
  1. 'Allow 3-5 business days to process your submissions' - Most customers including my self still waiting 2+ weeks as of today, rebate still isn't processed.
  2. 'Validated submissions will be sent a notification to the e-mail address provided' - Various sources reported - no one received e-mail notification upon/after submission validation.

Today, 12/29/2025 received $30 cash rebate to my PayPal account. Filed Dec 2nd, Payment Dec 29th, so less than 4 weeks. Happy camper. My status did indicate $0.30 cents, just like others. Likely bad programming on their end.
Hope whoever jumped on it, gets theirs too.

The rebate tracker shows $0.30 instead of $30. Does that mean that the rebate is denied or short changed?

Also it initially said 4 weeks to get rebate. Now it says 6-8 weeks to get the rebate. Seems like a change in terms.

you will get exactly $30 back, I already explained above, its a bug on their web site. Unfortunately, the verbiage is all over the place for this rebate. I got my rebate in less than 4 weeks.

Additionally, after I got my rebate, on Jan 5th 2026, I got an email from Castrol promotions, that my rebate was processed. So email came after I got paid already. Seems like some goofy processing is taking place, but don't worry, as long as you submitted the rebate and purchased the items, you will get the rebate.

I had purchased two 5qt jugs on one receipt, and another two 5qt jugs on a separate receipt. Submitted each purchase separately. But I received only one $30 payment in my Venmo account three weeks ago. 😞
