Nice, $50 cheaper than when I grabbed it a couple weeks ago, anyone had Wellbots price adjust before? Not sure if it is worth it though since it might mess up the AMEX offer I got with it.

Take note this is the non-expandable version, you want the 'Plus' model for that, or the Pro

Most retailers have a BEST PRICE GUARANTEE until December 1, so if the price is lower before then, you get a refund of the difference. I pulled a plug on a ECOFLOW PRO 3 and so far it is almost 100 LOWER , if it gets LOWER price before DEC 1, I get 100 minimum refunded

So I thought I'd use this device to help offset some energy costs, low vs high peak pricing. I thought that if the battery got low enough, the device would be smart enough to then use the grid as backup power depending on where I set the parameters. It can't do this which is a bit frustrating. I'm going to return mine as I was hoping I'd be able to offset some of the cost by energy price arbitrage.

This goes against a lot of what they advertise here:
"OASIS 3.0 Smart App Control: Dashboard to monitor real-time battery status, electricity prices, and savings. Storm Guard Mode automatically activates backup power before extreme weather hits. Self-Powered Mode and Scheduled Tasks save you money daily"

Correct me if I am wrong but this model doesn't have the ability to expand its capacity to a secondary battery correct?

Thanks, that's my goal and I was hoping to find one that can do this. I want it to charge in the middle of the night unless battery runs low during the day. Do any slickdealers know the right models to pursue for this kind of function?

It absolutely does this. It's built right in Energy Strategy > Operating Mode > Backup Reserve. I set mine to 20%. It uses grid any time the battery hits 20%, and uses solar or grid to fill back up.

My app for the D3U does not have that option.

Also grabbed the Wellbots deal. Wondering if I can somehow get the $50 refunded.

I can speak to your situation, but I did see this feature tested on the Ecoflow on YouTube. Maybe update the app or try a different mobile platform (i.e. iOS vs Android)?

Any recommendation for solar panels or other accessories needed (to connect battery to solar panels) to get hit the $1000 required for AMEX offer?

How does this deal compare to the Jackery Homepower 3000 deal with the 200w solar panel for $899 through Amazon...now expired. Wondering why people like this deal, when it doesn't come with a $300 bifacial solar panel, like the Jackery did, for the same price. Capacity and battery chemistry the same right? Is there a situation, where this EcoFlow would excel? It looks like this unit only has 800w PV input- prolly not a dealbreaker for most, compared to 1k with the Jackery, EcoFlow 12lbs heavier, but has wheels...looks like this EcoFlow would make a better UPS, with 10mS vs 20mS switching times- not sure how relevant that is...

Ecoflow is kind of a brand name at this point, and have great features (on the app) is probably why.

Yup. If you want to return, you must do so within 30 days and the item must be UNOPENED. In other words, you can't just return it if you don't like it after you opened it or you get hit with a restocking fee. Poor turn policy from the 90s.

If it's defective, then you get a replacement free of charge. But you fight on exactly what "defective" means. A used or returned item craftfully repackaged to be sold as new with scratches or minor cosmetic blemishes -TO- something doesn't work. I'd skip this vendor.

I wouldn't buy this particular product because the solar input limitation is poor.
