I think it's algo-based. They're trying to haggle with your persistence. You don't want $950? Fine, let's drop it to $850. C'mon, you know you want it. Oh, you're still staring at it? $750, final deal. Only works for Titanium Grey of course.

I just realized I could've used the Paypal app to get an extra 3% cashback, which would cancel out my screen protector and case cost. I'm not sure if it's worth putting in another order and cancelling this one over that ~$25.
Also thanks to the person who mentioned the color swapping. I swapped from gray to light blue which is estimated to arrive next week. A couple of other colors listed the same date as well.
