Click on left-most item at the bottom (should be your CashApp balance). Then pull down on the screen to reveal your virtual card. Below the card is a link to cashback offers.
Worked beautifully when buying the discounted Switch games at Target.
Bought two $30 Switch games, and $40 Star Wars Outlaws for Switch 2 for 3 cents short of $100. A little over $108 after tax.
You need to already have that much money loaded into your Cash app balance. Not 80% of it, but the entire total that shows in the Target checkout. Then you select the Cash App to pay, and then it will not show the total with the discount applied, it will automatically show that everything has been processed and paid and then take you back to the Target website/app.
The Target website/app will show order confirmed and the FULL price, making you think that they didn't apply the 20% discount.
Go back to the Cash app and you'll see that the 20% of money is still sitting there. That's how you know they applied the promo discount. You can return the money back to your bank.

You can use your cash app card anywhere the card is accepted.
For this promotion to trigger, the promotion you add to your account is a "app only/online only" promotion that cannot be trigger by using the card in the store.
Thank you. That clears it up. I appreciate your taking the time.
i don't have any gift cards in my cart but still cant able to see cash app payment option at checkout .. what could be the issue? ii activated this offer on cash app. no issue there
on the web the cashapp option was shown and able to redeem this offer .. still not showing on app though..
I don't even see the option to pay with Cash App. I only see Apple Pay, PayPal, and Affirm. All I have are AirPods in my cart. I tried the app and the mobile website.
Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I see the offer when I search for Target but when I check out with Cash App and it switches from Target back to Cash App, it shows the amount without the 20% discount and it says I don't have the balance (since I have $0 loaded in Cash App). Is it supposed to show the total amount and then I'll get the 20% off later? Do I have to load the full, pre 20% off amount into my Cash App balance before this will work? I also do not have the Cash App debit card, do I need to order one first? Thanks and sorry for the dumb questions.

This was very helpful and accurate. Thank you for elaborating. Worked perfectly for the ANC AirPods
I had to add my cash app card to target. Then the option shows up with cash app pay. I didn't know this so i spent 100 bucks using my cash app card on target. I used another target offer for same day delivery with 20% off as well so.I can't return the order and redo it. Cash app won't apply the 20% off and told me I have to do it correctly. Cash app support is really bad and the way to use this promotion is confusing.

You have to have enough funds pre-loaded in the cash app. The retailer will show you paid full amount, cash app will deduct amount owed minus 20% ($20 max) from balance. It helps to have the debit card so you can use it in physical stores though since this deal is via the app, you should not require it
A lot of hassle.
1. You need to first apply for their debit card to get the offer added to your account. You have to enter your SSN or ITIN. They said they would not check your credit but who knows.
2. You cannot use Target app and must check out on Target.com.
3. You must first add $100 + tax to your $app by transferring from you bank account. So cannot use credit card for cash back.
4. You need to scan a QR to pay in the app. After paying, you get $20 in account.
It is about just $10-$15 savings considering you don't get CC cashback or pay with GCs that you get with 10% off, as well as tax charged on the $20.

I did not have to apply for a debit card. Did you not have a Cash App account previously?

Target expires in 10 weeks, so no rush.
