Duck soup is one of the funniest movies ever. Even by today's standards it holds up great despite being 80 years old. Chico is one of the greatest pianists I've ever seen, and harpo is the greatest harpist ever. Truly an incredible family of talent that can't be matched.

Of the four, I don't think I would give Zeppo 2nd billing.

TCM just showed a 1939 movie Honolulu unexpectedly showcasing Marx Brothers imitators. Interesting.

I read somewhere recently that although he was relegated to playing the straight-man in their films, he was considered by the brothers to be the most talented of the four of them, and when one of them was unavailable for a live show, he would successfully impersonate whichever of the other three was missing.

I wish we'd gotten to see some of that.
