It showed 40% off but it's only taking $2.50 off on a $100+ purchase. It's been doing this for some time now - does anybody know why? I read a previous comment about an old promo and unused discount, is that what this is related to?

Had 15% off offer (max $15 discount) when you redeem 714 MR pts for $5 -- no problem using it on a third party seller item yesterday (Viofo dash cam that was sold by Viofo but shipped by Amazon)

I got 50% off apparently when I checked my cart. The promo page says up to $80 worth of points. I'm linked the Amex platinum card. For the most part, Amex points aren't great transfers to Amazon normally, with 10,000 points worth $70 on amazon. But with 50% off, it's pretty good now.

for those who have the 15%, you will not be getting 15% off but 12.86% off. Since you have to use 714 points which are worth $7.14 but on Amazon you only get 0.007 per point, you lose $2.14 cents.

You don't have to redeem all your pts -- try redeeming just 1pt if it doesn't list a min redemption amount (unless your offer says redeem $5 worth for 714pts) and you should get 50% off your purchase (max $80 discount)

Ugh I got the 40% but I'm short ~200 points! I'm assuming there's no way to quickly get points right, if I charge my Amex card they take a while to post?
