Different generations are too. Stuffing is out and Mac and Cheese is officially the new traditional side dish for Gen Z (Take that Boomers!).
Swap the turkey for carne. Swap the potatoes for beans. Swap the gravy for salsa. Swap the cranberry sauce for guacamole. Swap the green beans with fajita mix.
But, I prefer standing rib roast, spiral ham or lasagna over the bird.

This is how corporate decides that they want to do customers a favor, but yet have no liability in it. It would be up to the discretion of the manager of that location to decide if they are doing the promotion or not.
What I found is nothing is written in stone, unless you can use the offer in app/online and order it that way; but posts from some people on this site, Subway has a way around that too. They just refund your money and the manager lets you know that that location is NOT going to accept your offer.
