LG 27GX704A-B 27-inch Ultragear QHD (2650x1440) OLED Gaming Monitor 240Hz, 0.03ms, NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, VESA Display HDR TrueBlack400, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort, Black

I think most people should just go with one of the sub $400 QD-OLED monitors, but this is an all time low for this monitor which uses a WOLED Panel.

Very accessible, but also the 4th gen tandem OLED can also be had at $467 (ignoring partner store) just by chatting in or using a referral code for 15% off the $550 price. Also ignoring cash back sites.

I have access to the LG partner store, its listed as 494 on their website (which is currently down for maintenance) and maybe I can get another 10% off with a code.

Should I roll with that? It seems like so much money for a monitor. I got an OLED on my new lenovo legion 5 which the whole computer cost 950.
Im just so shocked by the new "standard" of oled monitors for gaming their cost is crazy. I am also a software engineer so the screen would be used by code for 40 hours a week. So maybe its justified for me?

I wouldn't get OLED for coding. Sounds like burn in waiting to happen. Get a dell IPS instead.

Im looking for a monitor for my wife that works from home and uses comp all day. What should i buy. 4K? I dont know anything about all the specs and gizmos. Price does not matter really as long it is comfortable for office work. All i know is 27inch would be perfect as screen size goes.
TIA
