Incredible deal on this Moccamaster! I paid $200 earlier this year and I'd buy it again. Just note, if you're happy with your current coffee machine, will this make coffee 10x as good? Honestly, no. It does make better coffee in general than my old Cusinart or Mr. Coffee, but don't expect miracles.
The nice thing about this particular unit is the insulated craft actually keeps the coffee at a decent temperature for a few hours before it starts to get too cold. You don't have to worry about burnt coffee from the other glass craft model. At this price, if you are looking to upgrade, it is a great unit.
That said, if you don't have a decent coffee grinder, you might want to consider upgrading that first as that has a bigger impact on your daily coffee.
Is this good for Vietnamese coffee for the one know ? I don't drink but my wife drip with traditional method every night. Trying to get her another gadget
mine is going strong for 8+ years now with zero issues, used multiple times per day. paid $315 and I would pay it again... but I could also see this thing outliving me.

Nope. Vietnamese coffee is good BECAUSE it's made with a phin. You're not going to get the concentrated coffee you need with a drip machine or really any other method other than maybe an Aeropress, but then you're back to why not just use a phin.

Has your wife tried.... Stove top "moka pot" coffee?
I'm always tempted by this but feel like I can't justify paying this much when I can just pour the water over my coffee myself. Also, microplastics. Definitely a great price.

Great price, but after using a couple of these I keep getting turned off by the light weight cheap plastic parts and going back to my behmor brazen. I've been roasting my own coffee for years and have nerded out on coffee gear, for background..

If you never actually pour the water yourself, this is the way!
Also, the plastic is for extra flavor!

I bought it and quickly sold it. Hard to run without making a whole batch.
The coffee maker doesn't handle small batches well you need to manually stir. If I'm going to do that, I might as well do a pour over. Not good for single drinkers.
People love these for the build. I've had one for about 6 months. The carafe can keep your coffee hot all morning. But it's a coffee maker, not a miracle worker. Coffee is good, but I doubt it makes the best cup of coffee you've ever had in your life.
