These are actually great. They're made of compressed diatomaceous earth and quite literally dry right before your eyes. Like you step on it with a wet foot and can watch your footprint evaporate in a few seconds. It's the same stuff you can buy in powdered form to sprinkle around your house to kill insects/ants by drying them up.

Your stone bath mat scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

So what happens if I dunk the mat in the tub? Will it remove all the water? Or can I just get a bag of the powdered stuff and cover my bathroom floor?

Are these slippery? Can I slip and fall because of the surface of the stone?

I LOVE stone mats! I have small ones by every sink in my house to put the soap dispensers. Going to try this one for my first bath mat.

I'm in for one, thanks OP! Only wish the promo also worked on the larger size mat... It doesn't.

They are superior to fabric—I Love mine, though it doesn't fold.

You actually sand it down.

They aren't. Texture is more like slate than marble. Not slippery at all

...no, I dont think a bath mat would be a slippery surface, that would be incredibly dumb. This is a porous surface and would be grippy to prevent you from slipping.
