Why wouldn't you just switch to the 'Lightspeed' (T-Mobile) network, the same network you were on with Mint? Verizon coverage is supposed to be great in my area based on maps and it sucks. Maybe that's the same for you and AT&T err...Dark Star
Some USM promos require you stay on Dark Star (you are allowed X amount of days on Warp or Lightspeed) if you want to keep the discount pricing. I signed up about two months ago and would lose my discount if I switched off Dark Star.

Does anyone else have an issue with using their Warp (Verizon)? My service would just randomly stop and I wouldn't know I missed calls/texts. Very awful situation when people needed to get a hold of me. It happened numerous times so I had to switch.
One of my lines is on Warp and does not have this issue, but there have been a few reports of this happening on the US Mobile subreddit.

I changed 4 lines for my family to US Mobile about 2 months ago (coming from Mint). We're all having a poor experience with their service. We have Pixel 7a, 2x9, and a Pixel 10. Myself, my spouse and our kids are constantly experiencing no service both when shopping around town, at school and home. We're on the Dark Star network, which according to the maps shows full strong 5G coverage in our cities which have 500K+ people. The poor coverage is INFURIATING!!! I wish we hadn't purchased a year of service. Even with the BOGO promotion and the cheap price, this is by far the worst service I've experienced. We commonly have 5-10 second delays to load websites on US Mobile. Their service also doesn't seem to be reliable with making calls on WiFi. I have a strong mesh based WiFi (Ubiquity), so I know this is poor service from US Mobile and extremely lower network priority. My advice would be to STAY AWAY! It may only be worth it for free and you'll still be frustrated.
Dark Star is AT&T, and your data is not prioritized on that plan. I'm on Warp (Verizon) and have zero issues. I even found a spot that gets 950mbps on mobile. If you want a Mint equivalent, you'll want a Light Speed network plan since that's the T-Mobile MVNO.

So will the unlimited starter start at $199 for the first year and then renew at $270/year after that?

About a month ago they had buy one get two equal plans free. That was the deal to go with. But I didn't see it until too late. I didn't realize it ended that evening, and the next morning it was over and this deal has been on ever since. Was waiting to see if they ever put the other deal back on, but they keep renewing this. I ended up with a $60 and a $90 plan after taxes for 5Gigs on Verizon network and 4Gigs on T-Mobile network as that's more than what we use a month. Those are also on SD, Infimobile and Ultra Mobile.

Can you please provide details.on the $60 plan. I tried finding it but the lowest i can see is $96

Cheaper to get the $199 version and pay for the Airalo international data
Roamless better and you can transfer it. Go check it out. I use it for supplemental or backup intl data.

USM has ZERO mobile towers. They lease time from Verizon, TMO, ATT and the coverage is roughly the same and the parent networks. Mint is TMO, so you should have looked at lightspeed which is TMO if you had not verified coverage first. If you are moving from one network (verizon, tmo) to say dark star (which is ATT) without testing it first just going on price and you are not happy w/ att coverage the experience would be the same if you went to cricket (ATT) or another ATT MVNO.
These options offered today deal allow moving to any of the 3 networks, the one you purchased was cheap and very specific to ATT. You can move to another network, but you will need to pay the difference. These plans NOW you can freely move among the 3 major networks. There is a difference with the promo you referenced.
I always tell people, ignore coverage maps. Trial the network first. If you don't and sign up for a year, its on you. According to maps, Verizon is UWB top in my neighborhood, except for 0.5 miles around me there is zero coverage.

Infimobile has Black Friday offer $60 a year (yes full year!) for 5Gb a month with 2500 min talk and 2500 text monthly. Or $99 a year for unlimited data. Definitely the best deal in this class! I have used them for a year now no issues. Use coupon code NHC480U for extra $5 back!

Scummy company that hides stuff in the fine print. Can't wait to get off of them.
