If you're going cheap, go with this brand and model. It's nothing to write home about but on the top end of what you can get in the sub-$100 range.

It's sad that the helio G99 is considered good compared to the other cheap rubbish out there.

You got your run of the line 8.4" G99 Chines Tablet. I personally purchased the Alldocube Iplay 60 mini Turbo (30% faster then G99). BUT... that was like 1.5 years ago when it was a steal of a deal.

I like this one for less then $100 more then the iplay 60 mini turbo but it does not have hDMI out. the Alldocube iPlay 60 Mini Turbo supports video output via its USB-C port for HDMI mirroring, and it uses a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port, this means it can output video to a larger screen and transfers data at a rate of up to 5Gbps.

I would think you would want to use your phone...

But here are some suggestions... and this is what I did...

1. Ask Chat GPT to list you 8-9" tablets that have GPS: The results were pitiful.

2. Ask Chat GPT to list you Alldocube models that have GPS and is between 8 - 9"

3. Ask Chat GPT to list you Teclast models that have GPS and is between 8-9".
