Are you even a real man if you don't buy Red Brand tools?

What's the benefit of these over a step drill bit?

Do these last longer than the POS Irwin or Spyder bits? Routing wires through my attic, so need to drill 3/4" holes through the ceiling joists around the center of the beam. My lovely Irwin bit goes dull after like one hole and the spyder bits as well.

I hate wires on top of ceiling joists and per code, 3/4" in the center of a 2x6 is fine.
