TerraMaster's top of the line 4-Bay NAS, the F4-424 Max is currently on sale with 30% off (their highest discount) for Black Friday at $630 (down from $900) which is already amazing. But code
WELCOME10 works on top, bringing this to $567
In my experience, in WA state, I wasn't even charged tax so paid $567 in full. Also the online store supports Paypal, so feel free to double dip with the
Paypal Pay Later 20% cashback
I used the above and can see 11340 points pending ($113 cashback), bringing my grand total to just $454 which is pretty amazing for the hardware here and leagues beyond the deals being offered by Ugreen IMHO

There are of course other NAS devices on sale as well, and the coupon + paypal cashback option should apply

About 10 yrs ago, I had one of their DAS units that wasn't functioning properly. I reached out to support via email because there wasn't a number to call. The responses I received were canned replies that didn't address the issue. I continued responding and asked if I could contact a real rep. Eventually got a reply from someone but it was incoherent. I sort of was able to figure out what they were trying to say, and their steps weren't working.
I asked for a RMA for warranty repair since it was only 11 months old. They refused the warranty and said I should return it to Newegg if I wanted a refund (obviously not possible).
I said I didn't want a refund, I wanted it repaired under warranty. And they stopped responding. I wrote them off as a joke - product and its software were half baked at best. Transfer speeds were jokingly slow too.
But now I see they have NAS systems. What are peoples' experiences dealing with their support today? How do their systems compare to UGreen?
My setup is all Synology now, but I'm open to trying out new systems.
I have the F4-425 Plus. Specs are not as great but it comes with standard with a 16GB stick. I don't miss the 10Gb ethernet port either (it only has one 5Gb port).
If this had been on sale when I was shopping for a NAS it would have been in the running. Great price!
